Extra Large Greeting Card presented to H.E. the President at the BCGR stall in the Deyata Kirula Exhibition.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa visited the BCGR stall at Deyata Kirula”, National Development Exhibition at Oyamaduwa, Anuradhapura in the morning of February 5th 2012.

On this occasion, President Rajapaksa was presented with an Extra Large greeting card, created specially by the trainees for His Excellency. Expressing his admiration for the creative talents of the trainees, the President conveyed his sincere appreciation for their warm gesture.

Viewing the quality of exhibits on display at the BCGR stall, the President observed that he was very impressed by the creative talent demonstrated by the trainees. During the visit, the Head of state also engaged the trainees in an amiable conversation.

H.E. the President was accompanied on this occasion by the Hon. Minister of Rehabilitation and Prison Reforms Chandrasiri Gajadeera, Hon. Minister of Information and Mass Media Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, Chief Minister of North Central Province Bertie Premalal Dissanayake Secretary, A. Dissanayake, Commissioner General of Rehabilitation Major General Chandana Rajaguru and several other government officials.

Ceremonially inaugurated by President Mahinda Rajapaksa on February 4th, 2012, “Deyata Kirula”, National Development Exhibition at Oyamaduwa, Anuradhapura, hosts stalls and events organized by Ministries, Government Departments and private institutions.

The BCGR stall is located in the building allocated for the Ministry of Rehabilitation and Prison Reforms. Handicrafts and creative works produced by the trainees are among the various items on display and sale in the stall.
