Assuming Duties as Commissioner General Rehabilitation at the Bureau of Commissioner General Rehabilitation

Major General Jánaka Ratnayake RSP USP Ldmc assumed duties as the Commissioner General Rehabilitation at the Bureau of the Commissioner General of Rehabilitation on 19 August 2015 with the blessings of religious sermons.

Major General Jánaka Ratnayake RSP USP Ldmc is an old boy of St. Thomas College, Mt. Lavinia and joined the Regular Force of the Sri Lanka Army on 6 February 1980 to Intake 13.

After commissioning on 18 July 1981 he was posted to Armoured Corps Regiment and had held various appointments throughout his military carrier and now he has been entrusted with a fresh responsibility to perform in Rehabilitation Process where the Government of Sri Lanka has recognized it as a matter of priority in terms of National Policy.

His wide knowledge and wealth of experience would undoubtedly be of immense help to guide the BCGR to pursuit its ultimate goals of Rehabilitation, Reinsertion, Reintegration and Reconciliation of all Rehabilitees as useful and fully productive human capital of the society.
